Occupational Therapy (OT)

Occupational Therapists assess and treat individuals of all ages with physical, social, emotional, psychological, and cultural needs so that they can achieve maximum independence in their daily lives. From reaching early developmental milestones to attaining meaningful occupations, Occupational Therapy (OT) supports individuals in developing, restoring, or maintaining age-appropriate functioning. For young children, OT may use play therapy to assess and develop a myriad of skills, given that the “occupation” of a child is to explore and learn through play; For teenagers and adults, OT may actively engage them in community settings where they can gain skills and practical experience necessary to reach independence.

At CBC our therapists aim to create fun and enriched environments, filled with energy and positivity, to achieve successful interventions, building the client’s sense of comfort and safety within their community.
